Gear test car

Inframat® is developing high lubricity nanocoatings for commercial applications, including transmission gears for race cars.  Increased service life of coated gears has been observed in Indy cars under full race conditions.  These coatings are applied using a proprietary electrodeposition process.  This technology has been developed under a Phase II SBIR program with the U.S. Navy for a helicopter gearbox application.
